Mindfulness is a meditation technique that teaches how to train your mind skilfully, with a series of mental exercises to achieve a way to be fully attentive to the present moment during the day and watching our thoughts and feelings gradually and understanding each other to achieve well-being.
In this course, we introduce you to the practice of meditation, which teaches us the ability to cultivate levels of awareness and compassion, inviting us to be more accountable and care for our health and well-being. The aim is to help reduce physical and mental stress associated to states of imbalance, suffering and disease and in return meditation will help us get to know ourselves a little better.
The Stress Reduction Mindfulness-based Course at the La Casa Oriental is taught both in Spanish and English. The parameters of happiness and expressions are different in every culture and thus we adapt our courses to our student’s experiences and cultural backgrounds in order to be able to provide the best possible experience for each and every one of us.

Caridad Martin Nieto, Bachelor of Pharmacy and MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) in 2011 under Dr. Helen Ma instructor at the University of Hong Kong. She also has a Masters in Buddhist Studies from the same university in 2012. Meditation has been the object of her studies for many years.
